The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency stated it is alarmed about the superior amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office committed to service the area daily. The provider position developed for intervention experiences a superior inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to help the servicing of all buyers and increase use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
